All change

Well, I'm not sure if anyone still reads this here blog and I don't blame you if you don't because there's been nothing but baby talk here for a looong time now. Kinda boring for some after a while I know but hey, that's what's going on in my life right now.

When I started blogging 3 years ago I never really knew why I wanted to keep a blog, write a blog, maintain a blog so it really just evolved and grew and so now this blog is a follower of what I do. I now realise what it's for. Right now I'm a mum ( a very sick mum btw! - explain later) and I'm relishing the time that I have with my girls.

Poppy is blossoming and she is such a good natured baby. She sleeps well, eats well and always has a smile and a chat. She also just sprouted her first tooth, which to me seems very quick but then again she is nearly 6 months old. I REALLY can't believe that 6 months have passed since she was born.

Lexie starts school in 4 weeks time. I'm not sure what is more shocking to me... the tooth or the starting school. Either way I can't get my head around it. So I'm enjoying the moment.

I set myself a challenge a while back to make a few changes to the look of my blog. I made a start and I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I still need to add bits & pieces to different pages but it's getting there and it looks pretty much how I wanted it to. My blog and me have been kind of lost for a while, I admit but then I haven't really had that much to write about so it got pushed to the side, discarded like an old odd sock. I'm sorry blog. I promise to take better care of you, and not neglect you the way I have.

The other day I spent quite a bit of time browsing through some of my old favourites. Something else I haven't done in such a long time. I missed it. I enjoyed reading.

Oh yeah, I mentioned that I've been pretty sick didn't I? I've been ill for about 3 weeks now with a totally debilitating cough that just will not shift. I have already had one lot of antibiotics and now, today I'm going back to the doctors. I'm lucky that Mark has been off work to help me otherwise both my babes would have probably starved by now. He's been doing everything which has allowed me to rest. And boy did I need rest.

There has been more change too. We sold our house and moved out a couple of weeks ago. We are now staying at my mum's for the time being until further notice. It's a little bit squashed but fine for now.

new project for the new year

Website_01

yes, I know that we haven't even reached the end of this year yet but I'm trying to plan. Trying to give myself something to do in between future feeds, nappy changes and sleeping. Trying to learn. Trying to do something for me. Trying to improve. Trying.

I have been thinking for a long time now that I needed to put everything in one place. Blog, portfolio, shop, contact details. So I'm attempting it. I have started and I will finish. When, I don't know. But my plan is to work on this when I have a spare moment or two. Unrealistic? Maybe. But I have to try.

hi

Zoe_01
We've been away in Bristol visiting Mark's folks for a few days and now we're back. I have a few more days off before returning to work so I'm going to sit right down and carry on knitting.

Before we went away I found out two exciting and good pieces of news...

Lisa is getting married

and

Nicole is in the family way.

Congratulations both!

just going to have a little break from the blog

not for long, just a couple of weeks.

We've got a week off coming up soon and I want to make the most of it. The festival is coming to town so we're going to try and do some stuff, see some stuff during that time.

Shop will still be open.

See you when I get back.

Ditch the feeds?

I've been debating, with myself of course, about this for a long time now.

Bloglinesfeed

I started using a feed to keep up to speed with all my favourite blogs and it has gradually grown and grown and grown. out of control. I feel so under pressure to read each and every one. I feel so overwhelmed by it and it's so very time consuming which is why I have resorted or should I say returned to having all my favourites in the sidebar there. right there, see?

I won't completely ditch my feeds but I will not be checking them so much. Instead I will take pleasure in visiting all of the sites I like to visit via my blog and in return I get the full experience. The look, the feel, the sentiment of each and every blog. Ah yes, that'll be much easier for my brain to manage. Who knows...maybe I'll even free up some time to actually make some stuff!

It's just time for something new

Farm_02

Ok folks, I apologise for the hopping and skipping about between blog service providers. To be blunt, Wordpress just wasn't doing it for me so I came back to my roots...good old Typepad. Hopefully, hopefully though you won't have to update your bookmarks and feeds as my address (zoeingram.com) will be pointing to this here blog.

I think wordpress is fine if you're a bit technically savvy but I'm afraid I'm not particularly. Yep, I design websites but when it comes to implementing anything technical I do need a bit of help. And typepad offers that. At least I think so.

One thing you may notice is that there are no archives. Yep one of the downsides to moving again was that I have lost all of my old posts. This is a bit of a shame but I'm hoping to inject a bit of new energy into this blog anyway so it's not bothering me too much. I did try to import all my wordpress posts but something strange was happening and I ended up with about 5 of the same post...over 2000 posts x 5...that's a lot and you may enjoy reading my blog but not that much that you'd sit through everything 5 times!

So to get things going, I have some images from a recent outing to our local farm.
