Today I am realising how difficult it can be working from home with two children. Lexie is no problem to be fair apart from the fact that she is like a human dustbin at the moment and constantly wants food. Apart from at meal times.
Poppy on the other hand is bringing back a lot of memories of when Lexie was her age and I was trying to work from home. Nothing is safe. Nothing is sacred.
Everything is placed up high out of reach (well not everything).
I think she believes that my chair is some kind of toy to swing on preventing me from sitting down to actually get on with some work.
I put clothes out for Lexie to wear this morning. My aim was to get them both washed, dressed and ready before 9am. Lexie still isn't dressed and it's now almost lunch time. She decided to wear a mermaid outfit which she still has on minus the bottom half (the tail).
I was going to go out this morning to buy a couple of electrical plugs so that we can change a couple of our UK plugs to Australian ones but thought I might be better off asking Mark to do that on the way home because I'd only face whingeing and hassle going out for something so boring as plugs.
Lexie has adopted the placing things high out of reach mode and so now many of Lexie's toys have crept into the living room and have found homes on our new bookcase.
Poppy can still get to the toys....they're not high enough.
I have a new page on fb if you're interested.
