Pelicans are not the most graceful birds

especially when it comes to taking off and landing in the water!

They do however have amazing feathers, the strangest looking eye and an enormously long beak with a funny little hook on the end of it.

We decided to try good old Aussie Roo steaks the other night. Hmmm. not convinced. I was n't really all that keen on them and I catually surprised myself because I thought I would like it. It was a bit tough and twangy...you know a bit hard to chew. Maybe it's because we had a duff piece of steak but I'm not so sure. 

The veggies were gorgeous. Roasted red peppers (capsicum), asparagus & broccolini.
