All about me

I am a freelance designer and illustrator based in Adelaide, Australia. I previously worked as a graphic designer for a digital agency called Civic in Edinburgh where I worked with a number of clients including the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland. My role was to come up with front end concepts and create graphics for the layout of the site liaising constantly with the team of builders to ensure that the end product is flawless. I also frequently use my skills in illustration working on portraits, maps and diagrams.

I started out as a textile designer obtaining an honours degree in Industrial Design in Printed Textiles from The Scottish College of Textiles. I absolutely loved my time studying textiles and now I occasionally like to dabble a bit in designing patterns for fabrics. I also spend time, when I can, designing greetings cards and illustrating. I have created several cards for American greetings cards company, Madison Park Greetings which I am very proud of. My illustrations are made into prints which I sell in my etsy shop. I am inspired by unusual and quirky things but I generally like observing animals and people combining them with bold colours and pattern.

I would love to have the space and time to be able to let loose and go mad with paint and all sorts but I don't really have space at the moment to do that so I have adopted my computer as my “tool” of choice. I love drawing digitally and I hope I continue to grow and get better at what I do.

I have a wonderful husband and I am also a mother to two beautiful girls. My daughters inspire me everyday.

One day I'd love to have the time and space to have my very own little studio where I can screen print, draw and sew to my hearts content.
