shutting up shop (a no photo post)

As the title says, I'm shutting up shop.

We, as a family, have a few things that we need to be doing right now and for the next little while so I have decided to call a halt on my etsy and noths shops as of the end of the week (Friday 5th September).

The next few months are going to be busy, exciting, full on and I want to enjoy every minute of it. We've got a lot of planning and organising to do and I need to focus. It's not that I don't enjoy having my little shops but I just don't think I can manage everything right now.

I will still be doing the odd bits and pieces for myself, gifts for others and just for fun things but I just won't be selling. And of course I will definitely still be blogging. Hopefully a bit more than I have been recently. I've almost had too much on my mind the past few months to be able to get it out, write it down, blog about it. Clarity is what's needed.

My shop will remain open until friday (5th September) so if there's anything you wanted, now's your chance, then after that I'll be removing all listings.

Etsy and my etsy customers have been so good to me over the past year or so and I will most probably return to etsy in the future but for now, it's a well earned break for me. Time to enjoy, time to think about the future, time to get organised, time to plan, time to indulge in creating just for the hell of it.

What a good idea. I’m glad to hear you are doing what you need to do for you and your family. It seems like so many of us just keep working when what we really need is exactly what you said: clarity. Have a wonderful break.
